How long does the recruitment process take?

The Stages and time frames are as follows

 1. Provision of recruitment application pack Week one
 2. Obtain references Week one
 3. Receipt of completed application forms Week two
 4. Submission of application to client Week three
 5. Interview with client ( telephone) Week four
 6. Approval Week six
 7. Acceptance and commencement application Week employer Week of visa application Week seven
 8. Visa issued Week eleven
 9. Notice to current employer Week Eleven
 10. Travel Week 16-18

Applying for a job

All the posts advertised on our web site are open posts. A job description and person specification is available for all posts. In order to be short-listed for interview you will need to meet the essential criteria outlined in the specification.

We will supply you with a sample CV so you can follow the outline. In addition each Hospital will have an application forms and additional paperwork which Professional Connections will supply to you. You submit the completed paperwork to Professional Connections who forward it to the relevant hospital for consideration.

We will undertake a number of pre-employment checks on behalf of our client hospitals.

ID Check

We will need to verify your identity by checking one of the following: A valid passport, driving license, valid photo ID card.

Qualifications

Professional Connections will verify your qualification.

Registration

Before appointing a health professional, we will check whether you are registered with the relevant regulatory body and whether any special conditions apply.

Criminal Record Check

A Criminal Record check will need to be furnished from all the countries you have lived in

References

Professional Connections will contact your referees to obtain a verbal and a written reference. The referee should be someone with management responsibility, and should be fair and objective.

Occupational Health Clearance

Each employer will give staff an occupational health check. This is to ensure that you are fit for work and so they can provide you with any adaptations for you to do your job, for example a special chair, keyboard etc.

Interview

Interviews will be face to face, by Video link or by telephone as appropriate. Professional Connections will provide interview training.

Following interview

An offer can be made subject to pre-employment checks being completed if you have been successful at interview
