We are sourced by our client hospitals to recruit overseas employees, and they pay us once you have commenced employment. Please be aware that there are, however, some costs associated with your application (see list below), which you are expected to pay yourself. How long does the recruitment process take?The stages and time frames are as follows:
Applying for a jobAll the posts advertised on our web site are open posts. A job description and person specification is available for all posts. In order to be short-listed for interview, you will need to meet the essential criteria outlined in the specification. We will supply you with a sample CV so you can follow the outline. In addition, each Hospital will have an application form and additional paperwork which Professional Connections will supply to you. You submit the completed paperwork to Professional Connections who forwards it to the relevant hospital for consideration. If you do not find an interesting post on our Jobs Database, send us your CV and inform us what you are interested in, and we will source a post for you. Pre-employment checksWe will undertake a number of pre-employment checks on behalf of our client hospitals. ID CheckWe will need to verify your identity by checking one of the following: A valid passport, driving license, valid photo ID card. QualificationsProfessional Connections will verify your qualification. RegistrationBefore appointing a health professional, we will check whether you are registered with the relevant regulatory body and whether any special conditions apply. Criminal Record CheckA criminal record check will need to be furnished from all the countries you have lived and worked in. ReferencesProfessional Connections will contact your referees to obtain a verbal and a written reference. The referee should be someone with management responsibility. Occupational Health ClearanceEach employer will give staff members an occupational health check. This is done to ensure that you are fit for work, as well as to be able to provide you with any possible adaptations you need to do your job. As free health care is included in your contract, a thorough medical screening needs to be undertaken after approval. InterviewInterviews will be face to face, by video link or by telephone as appropriate. Following interviewAn offer can be made subject to pre-employment checks being completed if you have been successful at interview. If you are unsuccessful we should be able to obtain feedback for you. Medical examinationThe hospital will require you to undertake a full medical examination upon approval. The relevant forms will be provided to you along with a list of blood tests and other examinations required. All females require a report of a cervical smear dated within the past two years and all candidates must undergo a chest x-ray. Candidates over 40, will require a ECG. You will be responsible for your own medical costs. VisaWe will provide full assistance to obtain your visa. Generally the visa process takes from one week up to ten days depending on which Saudi Embassy we are applying to. Flight ticketsThe hospitals will issue your e-ticket through Professional Connections. The hospital pays for the ticket. Last updated: 17.12.2011 |
