As has been mentioned, the opportunities for travelling are exceptional in Saudi Arabia. There are fascinating destinations just outside the borders (as well as inside them) that one might not be able to visit as easily from their home countries. There are Roman, Greek and Byzantine ruins in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan; meteor craters; vast deserts and spectacular Nabatean tombs in Saudi Arabia; and Tropical oasis in the Oman. The list goes on and on.
Because of the location of the Kingdom and the salary the hospitals offer, one has a unique opportunity to explore new areas. The Middle East is a jumping point to many parts of the world, where one might not ordinarily visit! Many expats living in Saudi Arabia take everything out of their stint and use the chances of travelling well. Since you are already there, why not to explore new areas as much as you can?
In this series we will be covering some popular weekend trip destinations for you to consider. There will be a coverage approximately once a week of a new destination. We will introduce you places like the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka etc. We will also talk about some destinations inside the Kingdom that we think are worth giving a visit.
